end to my morning sickness???

So this weekend I found that I felt a little better. I still had to take my Zofran in the morning because I would get that really strong nausea wave, but my energy levels have seemed to pick up some.
Well today I woke up and expected the same routine I have been in the last 7 weeks which involved taking my meds about 5 minutes after I woke up since the nausea hits me like a train pretty much right when my eyes open. To my surprise an hour had gone by and nothing. I felt just fine. I had a few moments where I was gagging a bit, but that "omg I am going to be sick" feeling never came.
I am hoping that maybe this is the end of my dreaded morning sickness. It has been 7 weeks of pure hell pretty much and I am really looking forward to actually enjoying my pregnancy before I become huge and uncomfortable.
Oh still not showing yet, but I am having some ligament pains so I think that might change in the next month...we will see.

12 weeks today

Today marks my 12th week. So far nothing really has changed. I am still not showing that I can tell, my morning sickness is still just as bad as ever (explaining why I am up at 6am typing my blog) and I still have no appetite to speak of. I miss the days when I would look at something and think "wow that looks so good". Now I look at anything and think..."blah"
My ultrasound is in 8 days and I am really nervous about it. I found my baby's heart beat on doppler yesterday but I still cannot allow myself to believe that everything is alright, not until I see pictures and the doc says "yep, everything looks great". I am so scared something is going to be wrong, that this pregnancy is not going to last.
For fun I took a gender prediction test yesterday, one of those tests you buy at the store. It told me I was going to have a boy but those tests are known to be wrong, I took it mostly for fun.
Well, since I am still not feeling great I am going to end my post. Unless anything crazy happens I will post again next week, hopefully with some great news and some cool ultrasound pictures. If I get the all clear from the doc I will be posting it on facebook so everyone can finally know.

11 weeks today

I figure unless something interesting comes up I will put up on post a week when I move up a week. Today I am 11 weeks pregnant. I am still not showing yet so it still doesn't feel quite real yet, but thanks to a home monitor I purchased I did get to hear the baby's heartbeat this morning. Its beating at a nice stead 160-165bpm.
I haven't gotten sick in the last two days, but I have been waking up around 4am and taking my Zofran so that I don't throw up at 8am. I think tomorrow I will hold off on taking it and see if I am still getting sick. I know two days ago I was still throwing up.
My ultrasound is in two weeks. I cannot wait!! I just want to see that the baby is growing normally and that everything is where its suppose to be.

We have a heartbeat!!

On Friday I went in for my first doctor's appointment. Got an exam and went over my test results (all were normal). The doctor then got a little hand-held Doppler out and tried to find the baby's heartbeat.
His Doppler was running out of batteries, so every few seconds it would shut off and he would have to turn it back on again. He kept finding my heart rate which was a little annoying because every time I would hear the hint of a heartbeat I would get all excited. I thought for sure we would walk out of the office not hearing anything. But right before he called it quits he found it. We couldn't get an exact bpm reading, but he estimated it around 160bpm, which is really good. It was so surreal to hear it...it makes this whole experience a little more real now. Before the only hint that this was real is the missing periods and the constant nausea but now that I heard the heartbeat it really hits home that there is a little person growing inside me. It was a feeling I have never had before and really cannot explain. All I can say is that it was awesome.
In two more weeks I have my ultrasound appointment...I think that's when its really gonna hit home that this is real. I really hope everything turns out ok.

Another ER visit

So about three days ago I had to make another ER visit for migraines. This one was really bad and I knew I wouldn't be able to muscle through it. This is my third migraine in a little under two weeks. I am really hoping that this isn't going to be some sort of trend. I am really focusing on drinking a lot of fluid and getting a lot of rest.
My morning sickness is still as bad as ever, although I am finally figuring out when I need to take my medication so that I do not get sick. Of course yesterday my body tricked me and I ended up getting sick at night. I figure the second I start to feel nauseous I am just going to take my meds.
My first doctors appointment is the 14th. That is when I should be able to hear the baby's heartbeat. My ultrasound isn't until early June. 4 weeks seems like a lifetime away. I really want to see the baby, although if we can hear the heartbeat next week that will be ease my mind too.
I am starting to crochet a baby blanket. Figure this one can be green and white and then when I find out the sex of the baby I can then make another one, more gender specific. I cannot believe I am going to be 9 weeks along come Wednesday.
